Customer Problem
Statement:
Customer suspects fuel pump has bad check valve and needs to send back for inspection

Pre-disassembly
Inspection:
Only base fuel pump received, not fuel pump kit as stated on order 18849, also missing filter sock and outlet nipple

Level 1 Disassembly:
Tested base fuel pump and holds residual pressure of 55 psi without issue after 48 hours.

Level 2 Disassembly:
Customer may have had leak at the lip due to dislodged (missing) outlet nipple during installation, but check valve holds pressure fine.

Finding:
Cause: Install issue.
Customer already bought new base pump (not kit). Give option to send working pump back to customer or issue 50% courtesy credit against new base pump purchase already made.

sooo, you sent them back an incomplete part and it worked fine for them?

I kept the mounting kit, only send back the fuel pump itself
