Default

Seems cheap: Add a FMIC, fueling, software tuning, etc... to make it work

Default How do like the Unorthodox flywheel?

I am about to install my OFE SS and unorthodox flywheel. If you had to do it again, would you go dual mass or aluminum flywheel?

Default Love it, engine revs much faster i get very minimal chatter (only with AC on)...

And its very drivable. This is my daily driver. I was warned i wouldnt like the drivability of it but its very easy to get used to.

Default and still won't run as well as APR.

apart from tuning, the stock exhaust manifold is too restrictive and will create way too much back pressure.

I also can't believe you went to the trouble to biuld your engine and did not get the apr turbo kit.

Default why? there are plenty of people who built their engines and didnt use the apr kit

in fact, most people who built their engines arent using the apr kit and are making fa more power than it produces!!! but hey, to each his own

Default haha, get your facts straight. I DO NOT have the stock manifold, also..

I built my motor and didnt by the APR kit because i could build my motor and buy the ATP kit for the same price as just the APR kit alone. I also dont have to truck my car down to Alabama to get it tuned like almost everyone with the APR kit has had to do. mmart, blkperl, etc. Also the ATP kit runs more boost then the APR kit so it was a little piece of mind to not have to worry about blowing the bottom end on a car with 100k on it.

Default Huh? Speaking of getting facts straight ....

mmart and BLKPERL were the first of their respective MY and were therefore the 'mules' for the specific MY B5 tune. Since we are now way past B5s it isn't surprising that shops no longer have all MY at their disposal. B6, B7, (subsequent to mmart and BLKPERL) 00s, 01s and nDBW have software available.
