boost pressure alone does not make for a good chip
fuel and ignition timeing play major factors also.
All are "tuned" for a desired result. i.e where in the rev range boost to come on, where more fuel needs to be added or subtracted. Where more spark advance needs to be, where timing needs to be taken out.
Each tuner spends a great deal of time to deliver to its customers a "balanced" chip for a particular application. There are many low boost chips that are better performers than high boost chips.
Remember Clark? He had excellant results on the street and strip with a "low" boost chip over the higher ones he was playing with. ---Clark, if you still paruse these forums drop us a line to let us know how your doing!---
Do not judge a chip on boost alone, if the other factors are off you will have a chip which does not perform as well as a chip that is spot on for it's requirements.

GIAC's P09-L6 for 2000/2001 cars runs about 15
and it spikes to ~19 i believe(if not more)... and with running that much boost, you encounter problems like pinging and higher charge air temps, thus ending up reducing your power. and like Jeff said, boost is not everything
