Default attn. suspension gurus

Ok, it may seem like I'm asking the wrong people since this question is refering to gen2 A4's, but no one in that forum is able to answer me.

The gen2 quattro and frontrak A4's share the same type of suspension at the front, while at the back, its slightly different since the quattro needs to house the rear diff.

I'm quite sure the springs fit frontrak's since suspension design is the same, but unsprung weight is different between the quattro and frontrak....So will quattro springs work?

I'm trying to get some sportpackage springs for my A4, and i have only found someone with quattro springs, so this is why i'm asking...

Quattro:

Default Becareful, the FWD and Quattro on 96-01 are different in the rear

so I think they may be different in Gen 2 as well. Both shock an dspring are different in the rear.

Default might wanna start checking part numbers from

H&R, koni etc..too see if the quattro and the FWD has the same part number or try calling a manufacturer to see if they will fit.

Default Judging by that pic, unsprung weight is the same.

Sprung weight seems to vary.

Default He's talking about a gen 2. All incorrect answers below are for gen1...

Yes rear suspension subframe is the same for the Quattro and Fronttrak for gen 2. Will the spring work? I don't tj=hink anyone here has that answer. Chances are, it will sit a tad higher because of some missing weight from the differential, propeller shaft and half the axle, but it's probably best to call H&R to find out.
