Audi: 1, Acura: 0 - but question on bumper dampers.

So, I was in a minor fender-bender with a left-turning Acura. (I had a green light, and was going straight. No brainer...though I couldn't spot him through the car in the left lane that decided to let him by).
The beauty is no visible damage to my bumper (can't say the same for his), I think I just need a little 3M hand glaze and some wax. No real scratches either.
My question...I remember hearing that there are single use dampers in the bumper for such slow-moving collisions. Is there any way to tell other than asking a mechanic to take the bumper off?
Also...how much a replacement?

the single use dampers may be shot (good news is that they can be repaired if not damadged tooo badly)... any our going to have to remove the bumper to check it out...
i just had my two fronts replaced...audi sells them for about $96but you can get them thru a body shop for about $77. good luck man.. i hope you dont need to replace them at all.
