Default audi 2000 A4 1.8T quattro avant aux fan problem
We have a 2000 1.8T avant with a fan making a racket when the A/C is started. It looks like the fan is loose on the fan motor shaft. Is it possible to disconnect the fan without problems? I have priced the aux fan at $200. The water pump was replaced,with timing belt a couple of months ago. The car has 98K plus. Is it possible to repair or replace the fan without much disassembly of the front as it seems tight in there?

Default it's not hard to replace.. however
if a fan blade is broken.. stop running the fan now!.. it can get off balance and go through your rad.. much more expensive

Default if you do end up replacing your fan can i scavenge part of your old one?.....
i need the plug and as much of the wires leading to it as possible.
