Default Audi A4 1.8t reputation?

How reliable our the audi 1.8t's. finally after months of hesitation,i will test driving the new A4 1.8t CVT. but i'm just curious as to what current owners think of them. more than likely in 2 weeks i'll be an A4 owner. can't wait.

You're on an Audi forum. So we know EVERY problem, and still LOVE our cars...

Default on the newer ones...2001-03 is coilpacks going bad..

audi is in the process of recalling them. on the older models, i would say control arms. the timing belt HAS to be changed at 60k miles. other than that, these cars have their quirks. some people have little things all the time, some never have any big issues. just stick around on this forum for a while..you'll get a feel

You just can't get enough of driving them, I guess that's the main issue :-)

you should be asking this question in the B6 forum. There was no CVT in B5.
