Default Audi A4 1996 Audio

Hi,

My car has a blaupunct stereo fitted which does not look like the original. I would prefer to use an original as it would have the red display and be more in keeping with the rest of the dash. Which radio works in this model. Also I would like to add a 6 deck cd player. Would they be compatible the standard head unit

Regards
Tom

Default Delta CC originally made by Bosch (Blaupunkt) uses an 8 pin M-Bus Alpine changer..

You should be able to pick up a head unit cheap (make sure you get the anti theft code) but the special changer is difficult to find and fairly expensive even used. (No aftermarket unit will work and there are no adapters to make it work)

Thanks.

At least I know where I stand. If I was to buy a head unit which would have the red lighting as per the original could I fit a unit from a later Audi that would be easier to interface to a sony cd changer.

Regards
Tom

Default I think the later Concert I units will fit and hook to a panasonic changer...

... Maybe you should look at newer alternatives.
I have the Delta CC with a changer and I haven't used the changer since I connected my iPod.
