Default Disconnect any of the sensors and ABS will be disabled.

...but you'll have to live with that little ABS light on the dash.

Default Just one kills the whole system? Wow. Good to know.

I wouldn't want it off all the time, just in the deep snow or slush. The light won't bother me.

Default 2k miles. Fine in rain and dry, grippy in the corners. This is 4 inches of snow.

ABS always sucks in slush and heavy snow. It's a VAG thing. I was surprised the Suburban didn't have the same issue. Granted, it's heavier, but still has ABS. The Nissan has no ABS, but I expected it to slide more with older, wider tires.
In order, best to worst:
Suburban
Nissan
A4

Ironic, as the Suburban has horribly small brakes for its size, and is very difficult to stop quickly in normal driving.

Default Ah, yes. When I was younger, my dad just turned off the ABS in the 100CS Avant and said "now stop."

As a 16 year old, I was just fine on baldass Contis in 2-3inches here - apparently, though, too much of a challenge for the Camry driving moco population.

Correct. On my '97 I pull the 50amp fuse under the kick panel.

Default that's an easy comprimise, I hate ABS it was designed for people who don't

know how to drive which is problem in this country because our driver education training is awful (I do not mean ACNA, PCA etc club events, I mean the big yellow 'student driver' signs on driving schools.)

It shifts the brake balance to 50-50, too

Which I've been saying for about 12 years now. And why I've disabled it on every Audi I've owned..

Not just limited to Audi's; The Bosch 5.3 ABS is used in many different Imports and Domestics.
