AUDI QUATTRO CHALLENGE RECAP
Well we all survived the Quattro Challenge 3 weeks ago, and in true Audi Club of Florida tradition, we have lots and lots of crazy stories about the event. Just some of the highlights: -The club depleting all of the Outback's supply of Bass Ale within 20 minutes of our arrival. -A female Audi owner running through the Outback completely topless on a dare (sorry, not one of our club members). -The Friday night late party on the catwalk at the Chateau Elan with the Audi of America folks. -The much anticipated autocross showdown between Pierre and Liam Kimbrell. The AutoX was swept by members from the Audi Club of Florida with the south chapter clearly dominating with 3 out 4 trophies.

The AutoX Results:
Saturday:
Best Male Time: Liam Kimbrell 34:15 (Audi Club of South Florida VP)
Best Female Time: Breeze Long 37:10 (Audi Club of Central Florida President's Wife)

Sunday:
Best Male Time: Oliver Licul 33:03 (Audi Club of South Florida Track Events Coordinator)
Best Female Time: Vicky Dodge 35:02 (Audi Club of South Florida Member)

CLUB RALLY 1.0
We are in the final planning stages of our first Road Rally on September 29, 2002. The 1.0 rally will be a small club only event to get our feet wet and flush out the best circuit. We are planning a large scale event in the early spring that will include our club along with other European cars clubs throughout Florida.

ROAD TRIP: PETIT LEMANS IN OCTOBER
Lets turn the Petit LeMans into a road trip weekend. The plan is to drive up early on Thursday and kick things off with Oktober Fest in the Alpine Village of Helen, Georgia. This little German village is nestled in the foot hills of the Appalachian mountains and is the hub for more than a 100 miles of twisty, curvy mountains roads. Join us for a Oktober Fest, mountain driving, ALMS racing weekend. Doesn't get any better than this.

Proposed Schedule:
10.10.02 (Thursday) - Drive up to Helen and partake in the Oktober Festivities that evening.
10.11.02 (Friday) - Stagger out of bed and drive over 100 miles of challenging mountains roads. Return to Helen for another evening of Oktober Fest Activities.
10.12.02. (Saturday) Petit LeMans at Road Atlanta, Braselton, Georgia. (About 45 minutes for Helen)
