Audi dealer says I dont need synthetic power steering fluid but instead the mineal audi OEM, true?

PSF from Pentosin. I have to say, it's "apparently" Dexron (III?).
New Dex VI is fine too, but ATF+4 is "Friction Modified", better for the 'ol PS pump. Both are thinner than Dex III, but thicker than CHF 11S.
I don't think CHF has much anti-wear nor anti-friction additives. It's basicly an aircraft hydrolic fluid. Some guys use an actual mineral Mobil Hydrolic oil, it's like $25 a drum of 5G, in no way is is made for fine systems used in artics, more like a huge fixed installation indoors that does not shutdown cold every day. Maybe used to power hydrolic factory equipment???
lol if someone want to look at what John Deere offers for a Hydrolic Fluid, that could actually be a great product as JD does extensive product validation of lubes and anti-freeze.
