today, after getting 5 qts of M1 5w40 TDT from Advanced Auto with their $29 deal with filter yesterday... and, 2 of them say "new formula with SuperSyn" -- isn't that old formula? I didn't even notice when I was buying it.
Saab got quite the cocktail for its 5k (35k total) change of two 5w40 SuperSyn TDT, three 5w40 "regular" TDT, and 2 Extended Performance 5w30 that were on the shelf from the last oil change deal.
::shrugs:: better than dino oil at 3k changes, right?
BTW - You can get ANY synthetic oil with this deal because apparently M1 didn't ship any oils with this deal, so the shelves are empty.

TDT is the only Mobil 1 that is not from the SS line. That is, if there is a TDT that says SuperSyn, it's new and is different than the TDT that's generic Delvac-1.
If you have TDT that says SS, it could better be mixed with other M1 SS oils. Get a whole fill of old TDT and use it all together. Mixing different additive packages is not good.

frickin' nowhere Wisconsin and they had M1 0W-40 all over the shelves $4.99
I just had to see what really was in one of those stores. Not like I needed anything for a tractor or bailing supplies.

Since I didn't notice until I already purchased it and was mid-change, it went in.
why is mixing diff add packages not good? I'm not draining unless Advanced Auto is willing to replace it. ...but, they only had 6 qts of M1 5w40 TDT -- so, I bet they just have 1 qt on the shelf.
from the M1 site (should've checked there first)
How does the reformulated Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck differ from the version it replaces?
The new Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck 5W-40 has been upgraded to meet the latest industry requirements, API CJ-4 for 2007 and later models. It will also meet API SM for gasoline.
