Audi Key Question

I was wondering what year did Audi change their remote and key to the folding kind that they are offering now on the A4. Before the folding key, what kind of design was it.

A large non-folding key with seperate remote. Old remote was the size of the current key/remote

i think folding key came out with 98 or 98.5 maybe
