Audi Of Nashua (NH) service review

I had an interesting experience at Audi of Nashua recently...
I brought my 99 2.8Q in for servicing a few months ago. Oil change, alignment, air bag light was on, and the front passenger side windshield washer spray jet was not functioning. I asked the service manager to have the tech re-set the airbag light and to clean out the sprayer jet (it was clogged). I rented a car from the dealership for a day (my car was out of warranty by a few months at the time) which was a low-end Dodge Neon (horrible). After commuting to and from work, back to the dealership, I expected everything to be finished. The service manager informed me that they could not re-set the air bag light and that a fault was detected in the passenger side airbag. It needed to be replaced at the tune of $600.00. Also, I needed a new spray jet because the tech did not have anything small enough to un-clog it. The jet would cost $40.00 for parts plus about $40.00 for labor to replace. Yes, I was a fool and had them order the new jet.....while waiting for the part, I contacted AOA about the airbag problem and they did not offer to help in any way.
The spray jet came in. I went to the dealership and waited for 1 1/2 hours while they replaced the jet...my car sat in front of the service center for 35 minutes before anyone looked at it. The service manager approached me and said "The wrong part was ordered, so we will need to re-order the part. The tech was able to clean the jet for you however...."
The whole reason I went in was to have the part replaced! What I wanted them to do last time, which they couldn't do then, was done this time!
I had an independent Audi tech check the airbag error code, and the status was intermittent fault in passenger front air bag. The tech re-set it. I have driven 5K miles since then, and the light has never re-appeared. Why did the dealer tell me it was the side air bag? Why couldn't they have re-set it? Is the side airbag more expensive to replace than the front?
I've had it with the dealer. Luckily I recently found an excellent Audi specialist in the southern NH area.

Did you happen to lose power (disconnect the battery) at any point before you noticed the air bag light? Sounds like a typical douchebag Audi dealer. Private shops are the way to go. I'll walk to work (40 miles) before I let a dealer touch my car.
