Default Audi service bulletin on lower control arm: they will replace!

My 99.5 A4 (147k)developed this seriously annoying squeeking in the front right that appears to be a bad lower control arm. Just spoke with my service guy who said that Audi has sent out a service bulletin identifying the problem. It appears that Audi will be announcing this as a repairable item on their nickel. It is limited to the lower arm. He said that they are not covering it at this time, but that it should come down within the next few weeks. He suggested holding off from getting it done until they cover it. Sounds good to me. Let them squeek for a change.

Default You emailed AoA? I wouldn't expect to hear anything....

...if anything, a generic "hi thanks for contacting us, we have no idea what you're talking about..."

Heh...
