Default Audi Windshield or PPG

A rock just caused a crack in my windshield.

The place that's going to replace my glass said I have a choice between Audi's glass and PPG.

Which would you choose?

TIA,
Terry

Default go with the audi glass...

I just changed mine a few months ago and I made a mistake and went with the PPG glass. The glass has a weird shape to it and it doesnt seem to fit well.

Default PPG. Got hit by several rocks already 2 weeks after I replaced the weaker Audi one...

and the pit never grew.

My windshield has so many minor distortions that I'm tempted to break it just to put in a decent piece of glass. You should go with whatever glass and company offers the best warranty for parts (includnig being free from distortion) and labor. Get it in writing, too.

Also, be sure that they install it properly as the windshield is an important structural support part for your roof, especially in case of rollover.

Default PPG! PPG! PPG!

Actually, I don't know which glass is better, but I work for PPG, so if you get the PPG glass, you'll be helping me keep my job!

Default I'm very pleased with my PPG replacement glass.

Less distortion than the OEM glass. I've had 2 "oh ****" moments where rocks have hit the glass and haven't left a mark (knock on wood.) Time will tell on the durability aspect though...

I had the same problem, but there are no PPG's in SOCAL!!, Audi is 420-450 to install.

I picked Audi glass. I've had my 2001 two months, and I'm hoping it was a freak thing.

I found many PPG installers in So. Cal.
