I got my Infinity Basslink today. I got is used so I'm missing a few wires and instructions. It has a ground, power, and remote line.
A few questions:
What guage wire should I use for all 3? Power is 200w
Are line level inputs any worse then RCA inputs If I tap the speaker wires before they reach the Bose amp?
It says something about auto on feature if using the line level inputs...does this mean I don't need a remote line from the headunit? It just senses a signal and turns on?
Also what is the negative side effects of running the power through the ECU?

Power not sure what the Basslink requires..
but you might want to stay around this:
8 Gauge power running from battery to trunk.
8 Gauge ground at the most 12" in length.
Power antenna wire or remote 14-16 gauge thick.
This can be wired up in a number of ways. Not sure how you want to go about it though. You will also need either a high low converter or the Blaupunkt adapter so that you can run RCA wires if it is what is required.

I believe the basslink runs on a class D amp, which means it should have a pretty low current draw. Ground and power should be the same gauge wire...I imagine 10 gauge would be sufficient, however read the owners manual for confirmation.
Line level and RCA's are the same thing. They are a cleaner source of information, vs. a high level (amplified) signal. For subwoofer use, it really shouldn't matter too much which one you use, but if it was for rear speakers or something, I would pull the line level sig.
The auto on feature, read the manual.<ul><li><a href="http://manuals.harman.com/INF/CAR/Owner%27s%20Manual/BASSLINK%20om.pdf">http://manuals.harman.com/INF/CAR/Owner%27s%20Manual/BASSLINK%20om.pdf</a</li></ul>
