The 10w3 has much higher excursion resulting in more output. However...output is also dependent on how much amplification you plan on feeding the sub. If you are staying under 200 watts...then I would say get the W0.

a**, but other than power handling, there is not much audible, difference. MEANING, that if you only have 100w, the w0 will sound better than the w3. the build quality, integrity, looks, blah, blah, blah are really based on power handling capabilities. now why you would consider either of these subs with 600w is beyond me, but whatever. the basic difference in the jl subs are power handling. now power handling allows for a smaller than usual enclosure due to excursion capabilities. i don't think it is physically possible to sit in a car and tell the audible differences between a w0, w1, w3 or old style w6. the size is going to give more clues than the series. now a w7 will sound different because it's design creates a larger, clearer sound at low volume levels. and to tell you the honest truth, your enclosure is going to make the most notable sound difference other than any other variable. you need to look at this chart for more conclusive information. remember, match your wattage, then decide enclosure.
