I'm looking to change out my T-bar shifter for something that feels better in my hand. Does anyone have any suggestions. I am thinking of somehting along the line of the shifter that was used in 95 on the A6. It was a traditional style where you depressed the whole shift **** to move from park.

There is a white plastic shaft inside the shifter, and when you press the button on the shifter, you are atually pulling that shaft up. So you will either have to get something to pull up or completely eliminate the shaft.
