Hi! There was a whinning noise coming from the<br>transmission when going at a certain speed. For me, it was 65 mi/hr. I have a 98 A4, Quattro,and<br>auto. I read there's a TSB for the fix. It involve<br>replacing some kind of shield. I was wondering did anyone had this fix yet? The TSB fix require<br>lowering the engine and transmission to replace <br>the shield. I have reservations about this.

My tip whines annoyingly at 48 and 68 mph when under light acceleration. TSB has been performed but I still hear the whine. I have a friend who also had the TSB done to his and says it fixed his whine. I'm going to try for a new transmission if I can ever catch up with the factory guy.
