avant sport package

I debated the same issue in ordering my Avant. As has been pointed out endlessly on this board, the sport package is the A4's most cost-effective option (other than quattro, or course.) The suspension is much more supple and buttoned down than the stock setup. It's not a high-performance system, but is a great compromise between pure handling ability and overall ride comfort. Additionally, the wagon just looks better with the lowered suspension.
Good luck.

I have a 2000 avant with sport package and am very pleased. Each car I have owned previously, I have felt the need to redo the suspension, but I am pretty happy with both the ride and the look.

I purchased those "EuroSportSprings" and Koni sports and man it's nice..a litter stiffer than the Avant with the sport setup but it also handles a bunch better than the stock I had.
But it cost more to do the way I did..and if you don't really care to do aftermarket I think the sport option would be cool.
Avantly

I ordered mine with sport package and sports seats both (also Xenon and cold weather). Not a day goes by that I am not extremely pleased with my choice. I will be upgrading to 17's in the spring, which will hopefully help the roll tendency, but the ride/handling balance is great for a car driven every day.
Jer
