B5 1.8T motor into a B6 a4 that originally came equipped with a 1.8T. What are the differences what
will i have to modify to make everything work. The motor blew on the b6 and i have a b5 1.8t in the garage just making sure everything is compatible. TIA

Yes but it is pretty much the same long block.
The head is the same AWM to AMB iirc... the block is the same too depending on vin range.
Block 06b-103-101-h used from model years 01-06

Are you suggesting that common sense should play a part in emissions requirements?
Stupid? For sure, but that's the law. Older engines can't go into newer cars even if the engine code is identical.
