Is a B5 A4 a good candidate for a track car?

I was sorta heckled by my last instructor
over my CF hood. He asked me if I had drained my wiper fluid too, as that would be another 8lbs or so.
Obviously there is a point to that statement, (just making it lighter wont make me or the car better right now) however a counter point is that the washer fluid also resides at a much lower point above the ground than the hood does.
Regardless, my investment in my IIc could probably pay for my track fees for this entire season. The car would be faster with me as a better driver than the the same old me and a few more hp/tq.

hey, welcome to the addiction
I'm still a noob, I just have a lil experience... I can NOT out drive my A4's capabilities yet. Sure I am horribly underpowered but I still have the other 2/3rds of the equation working for me (brakes & handling). I am missing out on learning how to apply throttle gradually tho... my car is largely on/off throttle because its weaksauce right now.

threadjack:
thanks for doing the xenon install the way you did...i was able to convert it back to halogens in about 3 mins with only a torx bit to get the screws for the housings off!

Spec Miata's make modded B6 S4's look slowwwwwwwwwww w/ a good driver:)
The one day at Reno Fernley last year I saw just that and the driver was a 50yr old woman (also one of the instructors of the school) in the Miata to boot. Talk about taking the AUDI off it's high horse!
