Default B6 seats into B5

I plan to change new leather seats for my B5. Found immaculate full set front and rear B6 seats at a scrap shop. Can those be fitted into B5 without any modification?

First of all we don't know what model or year of A4 you have.

The B5 4 cylinder cars had manual seats, whilst the V6's had a powered driver seat.

Most B6's have powered drivers seat. So if there's a mismatch that could be it right there.

Only later B5 and all B6's have side impact airbags so there's another miss-match.

The rear seat is a different shape as the body is different.

The chances are you will need to do some welding(new rails) to make them fit.

my B5 is 1.8T without side airbag and manual adjust. Same with the B6 (manual adjust & w/o airbag). I thought both models having the same chassis.

Anyway, i'll just try my luck and see if they can be fitted.

The worst you will have to do is some fabrication of brackets or alterations. Be careful and do it right- seat mounting is surprisingly time consuming.

nice score on newer seats!

Not really, the B5 uses the B5 chassis, and the B6 uses "fill in your answer here" chassis
