Default many here including me would reccomend you upgrade your tires and suspension before

doing any engine mods. I had the non-sport and 15" wheels, and I couldn't stand it. Besides the car handling like $hit, it looked funny too. Now my car sits low, handles excellent, and is ready and willing for an upgrade in power.

Default Depends on your priorities

I did just that with my 2000 1.8T (though I added new springs and shocks 2 months later)

If I had to do it again I'd definatly get suspension first then 16" rims minimum.

The chip is very tempting to get first since it's so cheap.

I'll be doing the same thing. The tires and suspension work won't start till next summer!

Default I have been running with a chip and no suspension upgrades for 16000 miles...

I only did the chip first because I got a decent deal on one used. I would recomend doing suspension and wheels first though. Im going insane with the non-sport setup but I cant afford suspension yet.

Default Just go easy in the corners and you'll be fine. Passing in 5th gear on the freeway is easier (more)

while chipped.

I chipped then changed my suspension a couple of months later...

I changed my wheels/tires/brakes about a year later.
17"P7000ss, ATE Slotted Rotors, Mintex Red.

Just don't floor the gas right before a turn and while in a turn... too much body roll.

Straight line accel. doesn't take too much special suspension... and you'll love the freeways... =)
