I wear thin soled shoes like Onitsuka Tiger's, so in stop and go traffic the ball of my left foot gets pretty irritated from pushing the clutch in and out so much.

Is this pretty common with everyone?

I was even thinking about making some kind of cushion that could be put on the clutch pedal so it wouldn't be uncomfortable to wear dress shoes in traffic.

Default If you've ever ridden a bike in traffic, you wouldn't be compaining about

...clutch pains from a car in comparison...

But, I know what you mean. Stage 4 clutch in traffic is crappy... But, even if you wear better shoes, your knee gets to you.

Just keep a pair of more comfy shoes in the car for driving. Easy.

I bet, as a motocrosser I could only imagine what traffic feels like on a sport bike.

How healthy is the clutch? Worn clutch can be a heavy clutch.

Default But you're a stud for driving a manual.. That's why I drive a tip. Not because I *can't*... because

I don't want to every single damn day.

Default Big time second. Some days I don't drive the Golf for the simple fact I feel lazy

and don't want to have to drive using all four limbs just to get to work.

Heh I agree. Once I get another DD (will be an auto) the A4 can be my weekender again.

Get your self a suitable pair shoes. Those have a stiletto heel on them or something too? J/K

As soon as it turns October I don't wear anything but my scarpa's with vibram sole FTW =)

Default How big are your feet? I wear a 12, and shoes that big, in a 12, tend to get stuck up under the dash

yet another reason I like the tip. I can wear my Sorrells and not have any problem other than occasionally hitting the brake and gas at the same time. =)
