Default Battery Died and then we jumped it and now the stereo wont turn on???

I was an idiot last night and left the overhead light on and killed the battery. A friend of mine helped me jump it and now the stereo wont turn on at all. The safe command on the display doesnt even show. I checked the fuses on the driver side panel and they looked fine and tried searching past threads and couldn't find any other information. The car is a 2000 A4 1.8t Quattro. Any suggestions or comments are much appreciated. Thanks.

Jumping is always a bad idea. Check the fuse on the back of the radio.

Nope. Just pop the radio out and the fuse will be right there.

So still am unable to get the radio out. I used two metal nail files and had another friend try also. Still with the same result. Is there something else holding the radio in or am i just missing on how you are to pull out the radio. Thanks again for the help

Use the right tools or you will bend something and it will never come out.

Make a couple of tools like this (file hangers) using a hacksaw and file (or a dremel)

Or like 4Driver4 said use the correct tools, otherwise you will have to dismantle the center console.
