Default Battery problems, wont hold charge.

My battery seems to be dead everyday after sitting for 12-15hrs. I charge it, or jump it and drive for a constant 30+mins and it still is dead the next day. I purchased a new battery in February and had it replaced in July because it wouldnt hold a charge. I rewired my front fogs because when I first purchased my car last September they were removed and I found the wiring was cut but I believe I got the wiring correct and they are not crossed. Im not sure if that would cause my battery to die or not. Any help and advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Default there's probably something consuming lots of current which is why you have a chronic problem

of loosing charge even when you had a new battery in February. Batteries, if not deep cycle will die fast too when they are discharged completely or not charged and consumed regularly.

Do you know how to use an ammeter? The ones that come with digital voltmeters are only rated 10A. You might have something drawing higher than that which can easily damage the meter.

Here's one way to start checking for power consumption. Make sure you can reset your radio too.

Take off the negative battery connector. Touch it on top of the battery post and observe for sparks.

Go to your fuse box and remove one fuse at a time to see if one of them eliminates the spark. To save time, it would be best to mark which is a live fuse with a test light or voltmeter so you don't have to take off fuses that normally don't have power.

Once you determine which fuse, that will help you narrow down what area to look for.
