Thought I'd post a picture. Amazing how little "gunk" it takes to plug the two holes and potentially cause a lot of damage. I guess this clean up will be an annual fall event.

I appreciate all the previous posts on the subject, but most do not mention the SECOND drain hole over in front of the driver.

Default Yep - mine froze up bad last year.

I had to flush it out with hot water, and un plug the drains. This was fun in the 0 degree weather.

Cranked up brightness on the photo a lot. Now you can actually see the second hole. Sorry about that.

Surpised the water did not expand a lot and wreak havoc when it turned to ice.

Default

I never have any gunk in the car. Although it does have a lot of garage time.

Leaves mostly and other debris that has fallen from trees or blown onto the windscreen and worked its way into the battery well or whatever the proper term is. I guess I should park it in the garage more, particularly as autumn asserts itself.

Default you may want to look into getting the cover that comes on 99.5 and up....

you need more than just the cover (the wiper soround and front firewall gasket iirc). but if you're going to keep the car and park outside it may be a good investment. if you're in new england i have a cover you can have cheap. it won't fit over my strut brace.

Thanks! That's a good thought. Did not know such a thing existed. I think I'll garage it more in the fall and take an annual peek at the battery well. What the heck is that large space called anyway?
