Hi,

I'm in the Palo Alto area and I'm looking for a place to make me a custom box and do an install. I have my amp and sub already, just need someone to put it together. Any recommendations for places that do good work for a good price?

Basically just need a custom box, amp install, hook up the wires.

I'd appreciate any suggestions. (Will go as far as San Jose or San Mateo to get this done...)

but the reason I'm asking for a shop is because they are really expensive on the install. i visited them first, and they are authorized dealers for a very limited range of products only. they seem to do really great work/installs though.

they wanted $250 to make a custom box for a 10" sub. and its made of wood. that's more than the cost of the sub itself. waaay over priced. =(

But unfortunately I don't know any other....wait...I know a
guy who works at Good Guys (that new East Palo Alto Store).
He gave me his card. He installed the CD changer in my
wife's Bronco. Let me see if I can track down his phone
number and name.

I've done car audio for a few years so I know I can do it.
I'm just curious what kind of box you wanted. Sealed, Ported,
Bandpass? How many subs do you have?

Basically, the material used to make the box is about $40
I use 3/4" MDF wood and not particle board.

I am modifying the cars performance now...may have to do something to the stereo in about 6-12 months from now.

I haven't visited his shop yet, just email, usenet, and web. He is who I would use. However, for subs, he apparently sometimes recommends
