Default Bellavia Audi sells chips!

I was just over at the new Bellavia Audi site, checking out the various parts they have available for order, when I noticed that they have an aftermarket performance section--- and what should be in the section but an offer for a 11 psi chip and a DTM filter package.
I wonder what effect this would have on potential warranty claims. The page had no disclaimer regarding warranties, as far as I could tell.
Sorry if this has been posted before.
Bellavia Audi Chip Page
http://www.bellaviaaudi.com/cart/viewproduct.cfm?g=133&f=21
Greg

Bellavia Audi Chip Page

Default I called them, this is what they said...

If there is a problem with the engine that was caused my the chip, the Audi warranty is voided. However, the Audi isn't automatically voided because the chip is installed.
They sell and install the chips there and they are aftermarket chips.
Verwy Interwesting!
Tommy
99.5 1.8TS-Tip

Default Seen this before and I think it's bad...

and it worries me. It was on a LI dealer's site I think. If their technicians do the installation of these aftermarket "goodies" and these parts screw up the engine/tranny/whatever, aren't they (Bellavia) responsible? After all, they are selling the product through the dealership and effectively almost "endorsing" it by installing it themselves. No matter who/what the parts are. And they're TAP parts which suck big time anyway according to the Archives. This could open up a huge can of worms if they're not careful. My advice: don't get TAP parts anyway. Get better quality stuff, like Wett, APR, Remus to name a few (sorry if I left your favorite company out). Have the installation done by real performance firms who've been doing it for years.

Default By simply installing a chip, the Audi warranty is not voided. However, if the engine damage is due to the chip, the Audi warranty is voided.

Why are you trashing TAP parts? They make and sell great stuff! Their stage 1 chip works great in my A4.
You are a bonehead.
