The belt on a 2.8q deflects 1/2" - should I worry? (repost for the night crew)

Searched in the forums for a little while, nothing found. Hoping someone knows.
It's a 30v engine and I think the belt is named "serpentine" belt. It's the one that's closest to the front and drives all accessories.
Also, the belt has perpendicular cracks on the raised ridges (pulley side). It seems that they're there due to the flexing of the belt, but I'm concerned if it's on the way out?
I'm going to inspect the t-belt, water pump, etc this weekend, any suggestions what to look for?
She has 48K on the counter.

The cracks do worry me. She only has 48K on the odometer and I was going to wait until 60K or at least until end of this summer, if not until next summer. Are you sure the cracks is not something that every belt will have after some time due to stretching of the rubber material?
Thanks.
Thanks.

It takes a 17mm socket and breaker bar/long ratchet and about 5 minutes of work to change the serpentine belt.

and do it at end of August. But It'll probably make me worry driving to the beach during the summer.
Time to start looking for parts I guess.
Thanks.
