It's available with a subscription if you're either

A: a legitimate Audi new car dealer
B: a certified repair facility

Other than that, you'll have to get the regular Bentley repair manual on CD or in book form.

The Bentley Publishing site sells a CD, which is labeled "Official Factory Repair Manual on CD-ROM by Audi of America" and has a different cover (including the official Audi Logo) than the hard copy manual which is labeled "Service Manual... by Bentley Publishing". The descriptions of these documents seem sufficiently different for me to believe that they're not the same. But, from your answers, it seems they are identical other than the format, yes, no?

and it mentions it's for A4 1996-2001 and S4 2000-2002. That seems to be the most current.

The last iteration of this repair manual didn't cover all model years for the S4...only up to MY2000 S4's I believe.

I think that's the real difference you're seeing...two revisions of the same manual.
