I'd like to copy the CD to the hard drive and have the app look to the harddrive instead of the CD rom to run it. Anyone know a hack for that?

Newer Bentley's had changes made to improve security (anti pirating measures). Not sure if any of these changes would have effected this little trick.

if you load the app to C:, the data needs to be in D:. I struggled with this long long ago, and that's what I found.

With the new bentley (the latest version) to get around the one pc only thing, there is a way, but I'm not getting into it here.

I installed everything on C drive.
The trick was to install the cd's entire contents to c:\
edit the cd.txt file to say C: instead of D: (which is my cd drive)

I tried that, didn't work on my pc. it had to be on a different partition to work...
