Ok, I really don't(nor will I ever) have $2000 to drop on a big brake kit.. Right now I am thinking about doing slotted/cross drilled rotors and some EBC pads.. Checked out APR's site, and they are charging $400 for parts that should be about $200.. Bottom line, I got about $400-$500 to spend on this upgrade, so any help is much appreciated!!!

and do the a8 upgrade when you have the money. it will run about 350-400bucks in parts... tt hangers and a8 roters..
stainless lines about 100 bucks
new fluid like 10 bucks.
good pads like carbotech or pagid rage in price but can cost as much as 200 bucks.

haven't broken them in yet, so I can't comment as to any improved feel, but damn do they look AWESOME
$240 for front and rear pads and front rotors.
Don't bother with A8, most people say they don't notice any improved stopping and it adds +5 lbs per rotor.

Thinking about what chupacabra said... I think I may go with the ECS slotted/x-drilled rotors, Mintex Pads, and ss lines....

even if you buy the stop techs brake distance is not going to decrease that much.. its all about pad fade on the the track...
I dont know if the a8 really reduces fade or not. but i'm sure an expensive sloted rotor is not doing much to help.

drilled are mostly for looks and are prone to crack. I would go with slotted ones. It'll give you reduced fade, without compromising rotor structure integrity.
