Default Castrol Syntec -- John Force FTW!!! (Actually, it's what my dealer uses)

So I do too.

I like the M1 5-40 TDT....I'm using this instead of the 0w30 GC as a summer oil...

Default I'm running Syntec 5w-50

I figured id give it a try since my turbo is oil cooled only and gets rather hot.

Default Typical race oil is a 10 weight.Mobil 1 /R/ is 0w-30. Heavy oil=pumping losses, but smoother as you

percieve as more power. fwiw, I know a guy using Motorcraft 5w-20 in his 05 Lamborghini. That's just how it is. I use thick German Syntec in my RSX, it's smooth at high revs, but the power is not there like thinner oil. Also, a Shell research experiment found thicker oil films in the upper cyl with 20 weight oil.

Yeah. Ester-base at 14cSt, a bit thicker than GC at 12cSt. I use GC in summer my Acura takes 8cSt 20

Default It has the Generic Euro ACEA A3 rating which is the basis for VW 502.

Castrol is the Official oil of Audi and BMW. 10w-40 might be a lil more stout than 5w-40.
