posted about on Thanksgiving morning. Turns out the culprit of my oil leaking saga was the oil filter seal. No major damage just $3 for the part and an oil change. It was actually wierd, the total came to $131.00 doesnt that seem a little high? install that oil filter seal and an ail change.....131...hummmm?
Anyway, thanks for your help and by the way, for some reason when I post at my home my computer brings up the logged in as: BRC and here at work it is jcaudi4 I think a long time ago I had a quesion and it was urgent and I couldnt remember my log in name so I quickly made one up. Sorry for the confussion.

There is an O ring on the top of the oil filter. Generally, it should remain on the filter when the old one is removed, and the new oil filter has a new O ring on it.
If there was a problem with it, they should be able to swap the filters, and top off with a quart of oil. A complete oil change isn't even necessary unless you were due for an oil change.
Anyway, perhaps they billed you an hour for diagnostic time, plus the cost of the oil change? But who did the prior oil change...seems to be they should swallow the cost of this, if they accidentally double stacked 2 O rings (installer error) or something like that.

In truth it takes about 5 extra minutes to do. So...
$50 for the oil change
+$25 for synthetic oil
$45 for O ring install
$10 tax
Why the hell am I guessing where you spent your money?? Should this be itemized on your bill?
