Are the bigger oil filters really necessary with synthetic oil in our engines?

Default I know, it took a while. I have no excuse. I think I'll just use these smaller filters up
why not? I used the smaller filters for 135,000 miles AND with petroleum oil. I'm curious, how would the added volume lower the oil pressure?

more volume same pressure means less pressure per unit of vloume .. maybee

You've got fixed flow rate (oil pump), and you're increasing the system volume, so my guess is your pressure drops as a result.
