make the kid go through 9 months of pregnancy and become emotionally attached...
and then tell her to give it up? I'd opt for getting rid of it ASAP, especially given the age circumstances. The girl clearly has problems and doesn't need to be dealing with any child right now.

sterilized. But he asked what we thought should happen to the boyfriend, so that's the answer I gave.

Point taken.
BUT, see I was adopted as a newborn. So if my birth mom had gone the abortion route I would not be here. So, while I am against government restriction of abortion, I tend to favor alternatives whenever possible.

the parents have nothing to do with the criminal charges.......
it is the prosecutor from the area or state that decides whether or not to prosecute. for example, if its a 35 year old guy and a 13 year old girl, you bet your *** theyll prosecute. if its a 15 year old girl and a 16 year old boy, they probably wont.
but, contrary to popular belief, the parents cannot play any part in the justice system here, as well it should be.
