this is what the back of MY projector looks like...
not too sure about your version but the H7 halogen was fastened with a plastic ring as opposed to a metal clip. this plastic ring will not fit with an HID H7 bulb so it had to be "retro-fitted" using 22 gauge galvanized steel wire.

sorry no pics of the HID bulb in the housing. i used a 5000K HID kit that the Subaru guys are using. a company called Brightstar. i have no complaints about the HID kit, the output is very white light probably just like any other 5000K kit.

thanks, thought they look different. The website ones are not black on the parts around the
projector/highbeam reflector. Yours looks like those parts are black as well.
