Last week, somone mentioned that they were faced with a dilema when his wife cut her hand. Do you use the A4 to bring her to the hospital?
Tonite I experienced a similar situation. I'm watching the news while my GF was doing some dishes. Then I hear a loud smash, followed by, MATT!!!!!" I run into the kitchen and see her hand covered in blood (along with a nice splatter motif on the wall, counter, stove, etc). She had accidently sliced her hand with a steak knife. I wrapped it in a dish towel, grabbed my keys, and was ready to take her to the hospital. Then she says, "Let's take my car. I don't want to risk getting blood in the Audi." I said, "Don't worry. It's just a car. Let's just worry about your hand." Which was true, but how often do any of us ever say...it's just a car.
Anyway, long story short...GF is ok after a few stitches and lots of bandages, Audi is blood free, and I got major brownie points for risking the cleanliness of the A4 and for buying her lots of flowers. Maybe this is a good time to order those Kahns...

And the fact that you agreed with her and refused to take your car would be the only thing she remembers. Not the blood, not the stitches, just that. =)

Actually, the A4 was already in the driveway. I didn't pull it into the garage after work because I knew I had to go back out to run errands later.
If I had said...OK. Then opened the garage, pulled the Audi in, set the alarm, grabbed her keys, pulled her car out, etc. Needless to say, I'd be in the doghouse tonight.
