Default Blown Turbo Hose...Found (I think)
Well Gents...I finally think I have found my blown turbo hose. It was right where the hose on the "high pressure" side of the turbo splits off the intercooler hose up to the BPV. Bought a 100 air compressor...a piece of PVC piping, some brass attachments, and a hose clap. Turned on the pressure to about 7 PSI...pssssssssss. There she was. Anyone know the part number for the 98 A4 1.8T for that hose?

What were the symptoms that made you look at the hoses?

A real "pssssssssssssssss" sound under hard to mediume acceleration. Loss of power also.

Default Could you only hear it with the windows up? Still trying to figure mine out.
I got power though. And I'm chipped.
