blown turbo? Is it safe to drive the car like this?

Default Could you elaborate on the vacuum line to the bpv?

Because if the failure was caused by a bad install of the BPV, then it would be good to know

Default $1400+ (because I already have a GIAC chip) ,labour I'm not sure yet, but probably not $1k

labour here in montreal is cheaper than in the states..

Default audi's vacuum hosing is crappy and mine crumbled on me. so if you dont get good vacuum

to the bpv when you just released the throttle, your bpv doesnt open up, if that doesnt open up all that pressure goes back to the turbo's blades, eventually the turbo would fail

Default Thanks....that must not have been the problem then, because I was hearing the "pshhh" sound from the

bpv just a day before the failure...

Default A4 turbo problems

Hi guys
i have the same problem with my 1998 1.8t (clicking) an no power. It is also letting out a white blue smoke. Car idels fine, starts first turn.
Can I drive her lightly for a week or two, without doing any engine damage?
