Default Blue-White smoke on start???

After my car has sat for a few hours (over-night or after work) I get a cloud of blue-white smoke on start-up. I have also noticed the longer the car sits the larger the cloud. The car runs fine and I have not noticed any oil consumption but I will be keeping a closer eye on it now. The car has 43K on it.

Any thoughts as to what it might be? Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks,

Default could also be turbo seals..

You have been a bad boy if your car is doing this at 43K miles

Default Do you mean Valve guide seals?

My dad suggested that it may be the valve guide seals leaking oil into the pistons.

Default Explain the turbo seals, please.

Really I have been a good boy ;-) Only one track event and I always let it cool down after hard drives.

What is it in the exhaust that would give blue-white smoke?

Obviously oil - only takes a drop to smoke your exhaust. Ever put too much oil in your car?

hard to explain, read up on how the oil seals work on turbo's, clogged return lines can do bad stuff
