stupid IMO. You can have unexpected torque transfer when driving up speed on a curve and will cause lots of trouble. Who thunk that ![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I also read about limited slip in the rears, but again, the mag I read may have been speculative. Oh well, I guess I need to do research more - on Audi's that is he he

The Audi system can transfer up to 66% to one wheel and not up to 100%. The BMW system uses 3 open differentials and ABS to redirect power.
The BMW system is similar to the Mercedes ML 320 system. Read the following excellent FAQ for AWD at ( http://www.eskimo.com/~eliot/awd.html )especially section (6) on torque splits which describes the Mercedes ML 320 system. This description should also match how the BMW system works.
