My last audi was red...I loved it...
didn't want it when I got it, but grew to love it...
same thing with the yellow...was "uhhhhh" about it but now that I have it I love it...

Kind of a funny debate...
I bought my car to be able to run in the snow, but at the same time I want it to be fast. The 1.8T may have the same if not a little more crank horsepower, but since it's pushing it to all four wheels, it loses a lot more at the wheels. I've heard anywhere from 20% to 28%, whereas the bimmer only loses 10-15% (guess).
So, the 1.8T will have to have a lot more hp to compensate for the loss. But then I'm back to my initial statement, I bought the car to hall my *** up to the mountain. So if he wants to race me up there, you're on While his clown *** is putting on chains or stuck in the ditch, I'll be sipping on my Irish coffee with snow bunnies at the lodge.
Word.

What's the matter afraid of a little snow? :)
I live on the West coast, so no salting over here, just sand. I love the A4 cause I can get it all done in one vehicle.
I must confess though, my next car will probably be an M3 E46, love that car. I'll have to buy a '69 Toyota Land Rover to get up to the hill. The house is coming first though.

I think it will be closer than you think. It will probably come down to driver ability.
If someone gets a bad launch, or burns out the cluch, it's all over. My setup would kick your *** in the corners, but you might have me in the straights
