Posted a few days ago about my Audi that would turn over but would not start. Turns out a bolt came off in the engine and did some damage. Mechanic told me that I forsure need a new tensioner and maybe there is more damage, he told me that I might need a new engine. Dows anyone have any thoughts or similar experiences to share?
Any help is appreciated.

What is your mileage and when was your last TB service?
Bolts just don't "come lose" inside the engine. Outside, maybe but still seems unlikely.

as in something related to your T-belt. And if that is the case and you lost crank to cam timing, you probably have bent valves. From what I understand, the bottom end is usually OK but for some marked up pistons so you may just need to rebuild the head.
