Default boost cooler...anyone heard of or tried this?

Has anyone tried one of these boost cooler setups? Seems interesting, wondering how it worked or if it would on our cars?

Default It's been done before.

At least on the supercharger it didn't show much gains.

Default Pg 4 manual "introducing water/methanol before 4-5 psi could result in quenched combustion & mis

fires. Nozzle may have to be adjusted up or down depending on air fuel ratio (smaller nozzle if starting at less 12.5:1) and concentration of Methanol (smaller if less than 50% methanol is used). If running 10 - 20 psi we would have to use 18-20% water/methanol per their table. So you keep hearing smaller and smaller nozzles which means smaller and smaller gains. While most of us seldom visit the 4-5 psi boost neighborhood it tells you something about the product. I would venture to say that the fact that the literature refers to A/F ratio of 12.5:1 tells me that it works best if used with engines of those specs. Also IIRC introducing Methanol to the combustion chamber will produce higher chamber temperatures which is means harder working engines more maintenance and higher risk of breakage. i could be wrong but those are my thoughts .......

Default water/alc injection is great! it helps keep the engine

clean, run cool for longer periods. it reduces heat soak and lets you run leaner, more timing and more boost safely with out risking detonation. Water injection is great insurance for people who run their car for long periods of time @ the track. to get the largest power gains you need to make fueling changes and make sure you add precautions to tell you if the system is malfunctioning.

I made my own water injection system and love it. I have 2.5 gal tank in my trunk with sensors to tell me when I get low on water. a control system like I have in the link is a great way to control a home brew water injection system and make it act more like the aquamist system that coasts major $$.

http://pnstuning.com/users/philtyper/TurboTech/waterinjection.mht</a

Default read the faq. I dont think you understand water injection

I'm not trying to be a dick. It just bugs be when people post like they know what they are talking about and they dont. those instructions do have errors but nothing that really relates to what you said.

Default I'm not trying to be a jerk either. I quoted directly from the product literature

when I stated that the water/methanol injection would produce "higher combustion chamber temps" I meant "combustion chamber" and NOT intake temps. maybe you misread my original post??
