I used your instructions to install my intake a couple of days ago...but i guess this is why i was questioning about the vacuum line...

But instead of using the small 1/8th nylon tubing,I went and bought the audi factory tubing.
(i used that as my signal line to the gauge)
If you have a vdo gauge, it will also be a good idea to place an inline restrictor fitting.
Since my car is 00+ i do not have the green cap.
The location of your tap, is simalair to mine.
I really like your Clamps, where about could i find them.
If you have anymore questions, e-mail me.
thanks,
john

I saw nothing about installing the restrictor in the vacuum line. Can you describe what the restrictor is, and where you put it?
Also, zip ties are unacceptable in the long run in a hot engine compartment, especially on pressurized hoses. They get brittle from heat after a few years, and can fail unexpectedly.
I used stainless steel safety wire, wrapped three times around each connection and twisted tight.
Nice write-up!

I forwarded you some pics and an e-mail I sent to another AW'er. Probably has lots of stuff you don't need to know but it has pics and some parts diagrams for the "T" connection.
