requesting, the ecu will adjust the boost level up unless there is a huge drop in boost. This is when the ecu throws the limp code. Not sure what Garrett has done to the chip, but even with my K03 race setups I never got lower boost levels even when driving in 30 degree or racing in 110 degree temps. Even on the dyno at dubwar in the 108 temps my car still made 20psi up to 5K rpms. The guy that was running the car was very suprised to see that much boost coming from a K03. He even made 2 runs on the dyno and the car made exactly the same tq and hp on both runs.

and then it controls the wastegate to adjust the actual boost so it's roughly the same as requested. It seems the requested boost differes when temperature changes. I'm sure you can disable that and if that's the case you won't see lower boost in lower temps. It wasn't the case in the GIAC version I had.
